Some time ago, I put a little post up: Say It in 53 Words. It was about the delight I felt after finding out that I had one Press 53 and Prime Number Magazine’s 53-Word Story Contest. Twice. For these stories:  “Things I Wish You Heard,” and “The Night I Said I Was Leaving.”

Since then, I have won it one more time: “While Listening to Jimi Hendrix on FM.”

Even better: I am honored to have been invited to be the guest judge for this contest as it enters a new stage of its existence. You can find the details, rules, etc., here:  http://press53.tumblr.com/post/59972917173/53-word-story-contest-with-prime-number-magazine . But briefly (ha! 53 words!), you will want to enter with a 53-word story that involves a school bus.

And here’s an insider’s secret: think beyond stereotypes and clichés. (Like always.)

Good luck! I look forward to reading your work.

And as always, thanks for reading mine. -PMc
